Tonight I made my first cake decorated in Fondant. I was kind of annoyed at my instructor because she jumped in and started decorating for me when I stepped out to use the restroom. She hadn't seen her husband in 3 days and I was the only student tonight in her last class of the day and she wanted to go home. GRRR! I still think of it as my cake though, since she only did minor things to it.

What a beautiful cake! I'd be annoyed, too, because it's hard to learn something if someone does it for you, but the cake is still really lovely!

Ya. We ended up peeling it off. I heard the Wilton fondant is AWFUL, so I made a homemade batch. It's not bad, but it's like eating chewy sugar, so we did end up peeling most of it off. We still have over half the cake left, though. I wish some of you were nearby so we could get some help eating all this cake :-).
